#9Intermediate53B-13-5

Intermediate – Proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Operator has limited amount of certificates for employee training through Hospitality Resource. Chipotle has their own onboarding that includes food safety that is not approved through the state of Florida. Operator stated that the employee training is done through their in house program and then they are given certificates from Hospitality Resources but they are unable to order certificates from Chipotles order system because of being out of stock. I explained that they have to have their training through Hospitality Resources to use their certificates. A call was made to a supervisor who informed him where to find the proper training. The operator stated he goes through that training with the staff as well but does not record anything from it. .
